What is Pop Safari?

Pop Safari is a free educational bubble-shooter game designed for kids ages 5 to 14. Players fire colorful bubbles from a cannon, match groups of three or more to pop them, and rescue safari animals trapped on the game board. Along the way, a scrolling fact ticker delivers real science content — adapted to the player's grade level.

The game was built as part of the ChocaBLOC educational gaming platform.

How It Works

Core Gameplay

Aim your cannon and fire bubbles at the grid above. Match 3 or more bubbles of the same color to pop them. Any bubbles left disconnected from the top will fall as bonus points. Clear the board to win!

Animal Rescue

Five safari animals appear on the board: lions, elephants, hippos, monkeys, and rhinos. Pop the bubbles surrounding them to free them and earn rescue bonuses. Feed rescued animals by matching their favorite bubble colors.

Power-ups & Synergies

Seven special bubble types add strategic depth:

Combine power-ups for synergy effects — over 15 unique combinations create spectacular chain reactions.

Educational Ticker

A scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen shows animal facts filtered by grade level. Facts cover habitat, diet, behavior, conservation status, and fun science. The ticker adapts its vocabulary and complexity based on the selected grade band.

Educational Value

Animal Science

180+ real facts across 5 safari animals, covering biology, ecology, and conservation — sourced for accuracy.

Strategic Thinking

Power-up combinations and limited shots encourage planning, spatial reasoning, and cause-and-effect understanding.

Pattern Recognition

Color matching, cluster detection, and synergy chains build visual-spatial skills in an engaging context.
